ABOUT
Hi. I'm Joanna.
Professional fine
art restorer
and artist.
My adventure with art started when I was five years old. Back then, I had begun to attend ceramic workshops organized in a small art atelier in my hometown. It was an honour that after some years, I was teaching a ceramic class
in the same ceramic studio.
Working with clay is my speciality and passion that is why in 2023 I have started with my new project - opening a ceramic studio in Rijswijk. I am a happy owner of a fully equipped ceramic workshop.
I was born in good ol' Krakow, PL. During my childhood in the 90s.,
I was living on the outskirts of the city surrounded by endless grass fields.
This landscape and sense of freedom had an impact on my art identity
and sensitivity. When I turned 15 I decided to move to another city on my own.
I passed the entry exams and began my adventure with art
in Katowice Silesia - Fine Art High School.
After 4 years, I came back to Krakow and started my higher education.
My curiosity about how a piece of art was made and my preciseness led me to the restoration and conservation of arts faculty. I graduated with an MA at the Fine Arts Academy in Kraków at the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art, specialising in the Conservation and Restoration of Mural Paintings. Because of my constantly expanding interests in arts,
I participated in the Erasmus exchange in Spain. For six months I was
a student at the University of Fine Arts La Laguna, Tenerife. There,
I had the opportunity to focus on contemporary art conservation. Additionally,
I followed an internship: at Marjan de Visser - Restauratie Atelier in Den Haag and MOCAK - the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow.
With more things happening in between, I moved to Den Haag in the Netherlands in 2021. My romantic emigration happened cause during my travels
I met a Dutch man who is my husband now.
We are both devoted to art and art connects us.
In 2022 I registered my own one-person ZZP business in NL.
